Arnold M. DeClark
Arnold M. "Arnie" DeClark, 78, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, March 7 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 6, 1938, to the late Edward and Violet (Sutherland) DeClark, he married Cathy Process in Iron Mountain in 1984 and worked at Grede Foundry for 32 years.
He enjoyed gardening, had a bountiful vegetable garden, a beautiful flower bed and was an avid Packer fan.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy; seven children, Brooke Burkart (Taylor Cooper) of Niagara, Jimmy DeClark, Sarah DeClark, John (Kari) DeClark and Wendy Riner, all of Aurora and Susie (Eric) Fankhauser and Cindy (Dennis) Miron, both of Iron Mountain, Mi.; a brother, Hank DeClark of Kingsford; four sisters, LaVerne Tramontin of Iron Mountain and Delores Martin, Donna (Al) Cumber and Phyliss DeClark, all of Aurora; 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lois.
A gathering in celebration of his life was held on Saturday, March 11 at the former Hillcrest School in Aurora from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A memorial was established. Erickson Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountatin assisted the family with arrangements.
