Michael John Brooks, 75, of Nashville, Tn., passed away Friday, March 10 at his home.
Born Feb. 12, 1942 in Green Bay, he grew up in the northwoods of Wisconsin and moved to Nashville in 1973. Throughout his life, he was an Air Force mechanic, truck driver, helicopter pilot and private detective. He was a trusted, dependable friend, loved his pets like family and dreamed of returning to the farm of his youth.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; a son, Ken Brooks of Memphis, Tn.; two daughters, Cindy (Art) Yeager of Landstuhl, Germany and Kim Brooks (Rusty Wolfe) of Wausaukee; five grandchildren; his mother, Bonnie Jean Brooks of Manitowoc, a sister, Donna (Gary) Anderson of Dunbar; a brother, James Brooks of Manitowoc and many life-long friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Brooks.
A Celebration of Life was held in Nashville on Monday, March 13. A memorial will be held in Twin Bridge in May.
