The Coleman School Board will meet on Monday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Board Room.
The agenda includes president's welcome and meeting called to order, roll call, consent items of agenda, minutes and vouchers payable.
Comments from the public will be followed by swearing in of newly elected members, principal's reports by Yvette Marshall on literacy, handwriting curriculum, Million Word Challenge, PBIS update, PTO dance, 7th grade STEM trip, solo/ensemble, MS student of the month, summer school, food drive and action planning in April. Principal Doug Polomis gave a talk on state FBLA, state forensics, prom, spring concert, state solo/ensemble, audit on CFC preliminary budget for May.
Items discussed will be energy efficiency study-McKinstry, health insurance rates, purchasing, student accident insurance, 2nd reading, summer school teacher pay and minutes to meet DPI requirements.
Board action will be resignation of Steve Cable-BBB coach, increase of summer school hourly teacher pay, 6th grade Camp Bird field trip, 8th grade Washington D.C. field trip, instructional minutes to meet DPI requirements (16-17), policy revisions, other district donations, and hirings and resignations.
Items, time and place of next meeting on May 8 will be set.
