Jaymes L. Monette
Jaymes "Run Jay" Leo Monette, 55, of Green Bay, passed away Thursday, April 2 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Feb. 10, 1962, he was adopted by Randy and Carol (Noel) Monette and on Feb. 14, 2013 married Renee LaCombe. He worked as a union heavy equipment operator for many years and was operations manager of Valley Packaging for six years.
He loved riding his Harley, going to motorcycle rallies in Sturgis and Tomahawk, road trips, but mostly time with his wife, family and many friends of which was shown by the many people that went to his recent benefit. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and fishing and looked forward to the annual "Trout Camp" outing with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Renee; three daughters, a step-daughter and a stepson, Sirena Monette, Oconto, Sabrina Monette, Porterfield, Olivia Monette, Oconto, Savanah Navin, Green Bay and Justin Navin, Los Angeles; five grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; his parents, Randy and Carol Monette, Oconto; a brother, Robin (Sue) Monette, Beaver Dam; a sister, Gina (Bill) Durkin, Appleton; many nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; friends; his extended family, Mary Ellen Morrow, Lynn (Tom) Ahearn, Lori (Chris) Moore and James (Melissa) Angleroth; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Scharmann; his father-in-law, Marclyn (Teresa) LaCombe and sisters and brothers-in-law, Machel LaCombe, Julie and Tim Eichman and Brenda Stenstrup.
He was preceded in death by special grandparents, Peggy Noel and Sabina and Leo Monette.
Family and friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Oconto on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 2:30 p.m., with Fr. Joel Sember officiating.
