James J. Anderle
James John Anderle, 104, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, April 17 at the Harbors.
Born Oct. 26, 1912, to the late George and Mary (Yanda) Anderle in Menominee, he graduated from Menominee High School. He married Muriel Rounds on April 7, 1939 and she preceded him in death on Feb. 4, 1981. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He worked as an upholsterer at Lloyd Flanders for 43 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Menominee and the VFW.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Bennett of Ocala, Fla. and Carole Walters of Menominee; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Muriel, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lisa Elsner; four sisters, Helen, May, Lily and Albena; five brothers, Irving, Joe, Jack, George and Vernon and special friend, Muriel Goldsmith.
Visitation will be held at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home in Menominee on Sunday, April 23 from 2 p.m. until time of funeral services at 4 p.m. Rev. Ryan Edwardson will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
A memorial fund has been established in his name. Expressions of sympathy and kindness can be directed to a family member.
