Kathleen Ann (Tonn) Darrow, 58, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, April 15 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Born April 22, 1958 in Oconto, to the late Gerald and Nancy Tonn, she graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1976 and later enrolled in a micro computer specialist program at NWTI of Green Bay.
She held many jobs throughout her life, most notable as a newspaper delivery person for about 200 customers, receiving an award for #1 delivery person.
On March 17, 1983, she married her soulmate, Wayne Darrow in Seaside, Ca. As a member of the United States Army, he received orders to report to Germany in February of 1994, where they lived there for six years. From there they went to several bases in Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia.
July 17, 1990 their son, Wayne II, was born and eight days later Wayne received orders to report to Afghanistan for Desert Storm where he was deployed for nine months. On May 4, 1991 she gave birth to their daughter, Michelle, in Ft. Stewart, Ga.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Wayne Darrow of Marinette; a son, Wayne II of Marinette; a daughter, Michelle (fiancé, Austin Kopczynski) of Oconto Falls; two grandchildren; a brother, William (Tammy) Tonn of Wisconsin Dells; a sister, Cynthia (Jeff Philipps) Tonn of Marinette; nine brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; a niece, Samantha Tonn; three nephews, Nicolas Tonn, Zachary (Crystal) Johnston and Tyler (La Koda Sailer) Johnston; two grand-nephews, Carson and Brantley; paternal aunt, Ann Tonn; maternal aunts and uncles, Darla Seefeldt, Karen (Ralph) Kreischer, Robert (Marge) Larsen, Alan Larsen, Kris (Debra) Larsen and Candace (Robert) Hilgers; many cousins and special friends, Peggy Arnold and Theresa Bargas of California.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her little brother, Stephen.
Visitation will be held at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo on Friday, April 21 from 1 p.m. until time of a celebration of her life at 3:30 p.m. Per her wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo in the arms of her brother, Stephen.
