Village Changes Zoning From Ag to Residential
The Wausaukee Village Board at a public hearing held on April 19, voted to change the zoning on a series of parcels from Agricultural District (A-1) to Residential (R-1). Discussion took place and it was noted the rezoning will not affect the ability of owners to continue farming as they have in the past.
Clarification was given regarding the definition of R1 Zoning which was stated as Single Family Dwelling with detached dwellings excluding mobile homes and double wides.
There will be no change in the tax assessment due to rezoning as the parcels are currently being assessed as residential. The following parcels will be changed from agriculture to residential:
Park Addition Lots 12, Lot 15, Lot 16 and W91' Lot 17.
