Town of Wausaukee Approves Addition to Building Ordinance
Wausaukee-The 2017 annual Town of Wausaukee meeting took place Tuesday, April 18 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Board members present were Chairman Jeff Engelmann, Supervisor 1 Bob Jicha, Supervisor 2 David Tomasino, Supervisor 3 Kurt Stumbris, Supervisor 4 Dennis Taylor, Clerk Cheryl Stumbris, and Treasurer Sally Hultquist.
Also present were Maryanne Tomasino, Bob Wesolowski, Chopper Dunlap, Jack Zore and Jim Brien.
Engelmann swore in re-elected Cheryl Stumbris, who then swore in re-elected treasurer Hultquist, Supervisor 1 Jicha, and Supervisor 2 Tomasino.
Engelmann called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. and minutes of the 2016 annual meeting were ready by Clerk Stumbris. Jack Zore made a motion to approve them with a second by Jim Brien.
The 2016 annual report was reviewed and Board of Audit was ready by treasurer Hultquist.
A motion was made by Zore to approve the annual report as read with a second by Maryanne Tomasino.
Jicha made a motion to retain bank most advantageous as the town's depository. Hultquist seconded the motion.
Wesolowski made a motion to allow the Town of Wausaukee to borrow funds as needed from an institution of their choice. Zone seconded the motion which carried.
The next annual meeting is the 3rd Tuesday of April 2018 at 7 p.m.
Engelmann gave a brief State of the Town address with adjournment at 7:16 p.m.
At the Town of Wausaukee regular meeting April 18 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall, present were Chairman Engelmann; Supervisor 1 Jicha; Supervisor 2 Tomasino; Supervisor 3 Stumbris; Supervisor 4 Taylor; Treasurer Hultquist; and Clerk Cheryl Stumbris.
Also present were James Pociask, Jake Stadler, Joe Cimarelli, Mike Burnside, Mike Tracy, Craig Baeten, Dennis Gorman, Robert Stein, Elaine Howe, Roger Howe, Jack Zore, Maryanne Tomasino, Scott Lemke, Phyllis Townsend, Bob Flaws, Bob Wesolowski, and Chopper Dunlap.
Operators license for James Delfosse was approved as were minutes and the financial report showing March 31 balance of $23,669.35 in checking, and MM General Account of $312,047.25.
Vouchers were approved. Engelmann opened bids for 2018 Single axle Dump truck from Quality Care Truck Center and JX Peterbuilt. The bid from JX Peterbuilt with 5 year warranty was taken.
Bids from Olson Trailer and Body for attachments and underbody scraper was okayed.
The Town of Wausaukee is selling a 2006 single axle International dump truck with snow plow, wing, and stainless steel sander. Sealed bids will be accepted on or before May 9 at 7 PM. For more information contact Wesolowski at 715-856-5281.
Black Top Bids were received from Northeast Asphalt, Inc.; Scott Construction and Fahrner Asphalt Sealers. Jicha made a motion to award bid to Scott Construction for cold mix at $45.90 per ton and 20FT mile using 1,350 ton at $61,965; also Single Chip seal 20FT Mile at $15,945.
Road construction will be tabled to May 9 meeting.
In an update on the Fire Department Tanker and quote to paint Truck, Jicha made a motion to accept estimate from Ripon Truck Repair & Equipment to paint cab, fire truck red per estimate, along with removing two fuel tanks and shorten, and make rear of truck frame square not to exceed $4500.
Operator's License for James Delfosse was approved and Chairman Engelmann opened discussion regarding move to new recycling program. Wesolowski gave update on Eagle Waste and Recycling regarding Electrical Work and Cement work for Pad. Supervisor Taylor made a motion to sign agreement.
Tomasino reported on Rescue Squad meeting held on April 2 and Jicha made a motion to make addition to Building Permit Ordinance to read, "The drip line of any structure either permanent or temporary shall not be within 30 feet of a town road right of way, or within 30 feet of a platted access and egress right of way. The drip line of any structure either permanent or temporary shall not be set within 10 feet of the adjoining property line even if both properties are owned jointly.
Bridge report was presented making Glendale Rd Bridge priority.
Board of Review will be held at the Town Hall Tuesday, May 9 and will immediately adjourn to a later date.
