LeRoy H. Otto
LeRoy H. Otto, 72 of Shawano, formerly of Suring, passed away Sunday, May 7.
Born April 9, 1945, to the late Harry and Leona (Hanson) Otto, he graduated from Suring High School in 1963 and served in the United States Marines from 1963 to 1967. He married Sandra Sell in November 1971.
He was known for his mechanic work at Ehlinger's Garage and Zahn's Garage, where he retired from. He loved to hunt, fish, watch birds and collect coins.
He is survived by a son, Robert Otto of Madison; a daughter, Susan Otto of Marinette; two sisters, Shirley Shore of Green Bay and Gloria Janskovitch of Billings, Mt.; a brother, Jeff Otto of Suring; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Otto and a sister, Marilyn Gadbois.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 12 at Suring United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Dan Nault officiating. Military honors will follow after the service with interment at a later date. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
