Dennis James Larsen, 70, 0f Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee.
Born June 17, 1946 in Menominee, to the late Earl and Violet (Carriveau) Larsen, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1966 and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
On July 13, 1968, he married Mary Lou Madsen and they divorced in 2000. On Sept. 22, 2007, he married Karen Evans and worked at Kargard, Silvan, and Crusiers over the years as a welder and CNC operator.
He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Boilermakers Union #696. He enjoyed riding and taking trips on his motorcycle, attending his grandchildren's activities and eating out.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of Menominee; a son, Jeffrey (Kim) Larsen of Green Bay; a daughter, Lori (Brent) Larsen of Marinette; five step-children, Stacey (Gene) Klann, Melody Smith, Amber (Glenn) Moore, Jonathan Smith and Michael Smith; two sisters, Patricia (Floyd) Hollsten of Wallace and Gloria "Jeannie" Beaudo of Clintonville; four grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Larsen and his first wife, Mary Lou Larsen.
Visitation was held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Monday, May 15 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m. with military honors Rev. Paul Cole officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
