Faye L. Melka
Faye L. (Goodlet) Melka, 88, of Marinette, passed away Sunday morning, May 28, 2017 at Rennes Health Center-West in Peshtigo.
Born Nov. 28, 1928 in Marinette, to Walter and Lottie (Sutherland) Goodlet, she lived in Marinette all her life and attended Marinette High School. She married Lloyd E. Milburn on Dec. 31, 1944 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 1984.
On Feb. 18, 1989, she married Richard Melka who preceded her in death. She worked various jobs and retired from Emerson Electric. She enjoyed traveling, casino trips and loved cooking.
She is survived by three children, Paul (Dianne) Milburn, Michael (Cindy) Milburn and Carolyn Melka; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Lawrence, Curtis, Warren, Ralph, Theodore, Roy and Paul Goodlet; a sister, Harriet Peterson and a son-in-law, Wayne Melka.
A funeral service for immediate family was held Monday, May 29 at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette, with Rev. James Wendt officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
