Elorine Catherine (Borman) Hubbard, 89, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at home surrounded by family.
Born March 23, 1928 in Wilson, Mi., to the late Wilbur and Pauline (Kleiman) Borman, she married Donald Hubbard in Bark River, Mi. on June 25, 1948 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1979.
She taught school for many years while working on the family farm and raising her family. She enjoyed cards, crocheting, working in her garden and reading, but mostly time with family and helping them out. Anyone who visited, never left without a full stomach. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and St. Anne's Society.
Survivors include a daughter, JoAnn (John) Lasky of Venice, Fla.; four sons, Gail (friend, Becky), Daniel (Kay), David (Carol) and Bernie (Polly), all of Stephenson, Mi.; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Barkenquist of Bark River, Mi.; two brothers, Willard Borman of Escanaba, MIi. and Leslie Borman of Germantown; a sister-in-law, Joyce (Bert) Peterson of Ingalls, Mi.; and a brother-in-law, Warren (MaryAnn) Hubbard of Menominee, Mi.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Dennis and a brother, Leo.
Family received friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Friday, June 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. Visitation continued at the funeral home on Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Fr. Ronald Timock officiated with burial in Stephenson Township Cemetery.
