Agnes Ann Paitl Kollross Johnson, 84, of Mesa, Az., formerly of Menominee, Mi., passed away Friday, May 19, 2017, at her home in Mesa.
Born Jan. 21, 1933, in Menominee, Mi., she resided in Mesa for the past 12 years, spending summers in Menominee. She will be remembered for her zest for life, stories, jokes, the pay-it-forward hug and message of "Guess who that one is from?", but mostly close hugs and a whisper, "You're my favorite!"
She is survived by four children, Jennifer (Gary) French, Carol Totten, Don Johnson and Arleen Johnson; two step-children, Karen Salewsky and Lee Johnson; two siblings, John (Joan) Paitl and Rita (David) Daniel; many grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Kollross in 1957 and Manfred Johnson in 2002; a son, Nels Johnson in 1968; two step-sons, Gary Johnson in 1991 and Glenn Johnson in 2014; three siblings, George W. (aka Bill) (Dee) Paitl, Mary Jane (Larry) Collard and Mary Jane (Kollross) (LeRoy) Deterville.
Services will be held at Holy Redeemer Church in Menominee on Thursday, June 15 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
