Wausaukee Library Reading Program June 14

Wausaukee--The Wausaukee Library's 2nd Annual Worm Race will be held on Wednesday, June 14 at 10:30 AM at the library. This will be the opening program for the library's summer reading program, Build a Better World.
Last year's 1st Annual Worm Race was such a success that the children voted to make it an annual event. Worms, squirt bottles and racing tracks will be provided and prize ribbons will go to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each division. Worms may be taken home by their coaches and snacks will also be provided.
Forms are available at the library to register for the race and the summer reading program. For more information at 715-856-5995.
Weekly programs include building better communication through language and writing, learning about animals and how they build a better world, and doing some creative building with cardboard. Programs will be held on June 14, June 21, June 28, July 12 and July 19. The programs will be held at different times and different locations so contact the library for information at 715-856-5995.
The first program will be at the library at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 14. The second annual Worm Race will be held and librarians remind children ribbons will be awarded and worms may be taken home with them for further coaching in other races.
The finale picnic will be on July 26 at noon. The Friends of the Wausaukee Library and community donators will provide a free lunch and prizes will be distributed to all who attend. Prizes to be awarded include building sets and construction toys, plus more. here will be a special presentation by Mary Tooley at 1:30 PM.
Registration begins on June 5 and registration forms are at the library for the free program.
