Charlene Vivian (Fischer) Heimke, 73, Town of Stiles, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at a local nursing home.
Born Oct. 12, 1943 in Milwaukee to Stanley J. and Pauline (Seifert) Fischer, she graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee in 1961 and later earned a degree in accounting. On Jan 5, 1963, she married Willard E. Heimke in Abrams and they recently celebrated 54 years together.
They farmed in Lena for more than 35 years and she also worked as an accountant for H.C. Prange Co. and in admissions at Oconto Falls Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Willard; three children and their spouses, Sandra (Ron) Curtis, Columbus, James (Cheryl) Heimke, Lena and Sherri (David) Dyer, Jefferson La.; seven grandchildren and their spouses; six great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack ( Mary) Fischer, Colorado and many brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Conrad Dyer.
Friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Lena on Friday, June 16 from 9 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 11 a.m., followed by burial in St. Charles Cemetery in Lena.
