Jim Jorgensen, 81, of Wausaukee, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2017 at home.
Born Feb. 9, 1936, to Elizabeth (Bessie Gill) and Ralph Jorgensen in Poy Sippi, he spent most of his working years in the meat cutting business and retired from Packerland Packing in 1998.
He enjoyed the country life in Wausaukee and was an active member of the Wausaukee Lions Club, serving many roles including President, received the "Lion of the Year" award in 2010 and 2011 and the Ray Hempel Fellowship Award in 2017. He embraced life and enjoyed many games of cribbage with fellow club card members.
He is survived by his first wife and soul mate of 12 years, Beverly Colburn, Wausaukee; two children, Cheryl (Jorgensen) Dan Behm, Green Bay and Rick Jorgensen (Tanya Shreiner), Redgranite; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Gene (Mary) Jorgensen, Cambridge and a sister, Liz (Jorgensen) Duket, Oconto.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call at Community Lutheran Church in McAllister on Tuesday, July 11 from 10:30 a.m. until time of a Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 a.m, with Pastor Paul Hueter officiating. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
