Carl J. Stanislawski, 92, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday Aug. 1, 2017 at Rennes Health Care Center-East.
Born Nov. 4, 1924 in Menominee, to the late John and Mary Stanislawski, he served in the United States Army during World War II. On Oct. 9, 1948, he married the former Evelynn Danielson and she preceded him in death on March 12, 1996.
He worked as a carpenter and later owned and operated the Stop and Go Bar and Stan's Bar for almost 30 years. He loved traveling to attend many Army reunions and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Michael (Edith) Stanislawski of Menominee; two daughters, Patricia (Ralph) Tordeur of Wallace and Carla Jean Stanislawski of Stephenson; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Sarah Wolfe and Helen Krause.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Chester, Richard, Henry and Edward.
Family will receive friends at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Birch Creek on Friday Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Fr. Michael Ocran officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Birch Creek Cemetery. Anderson Kell Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family with arrangements.
