Cherri Ann (Peerenboom) Barton, 54, of Green Bay, passed away Thursday, Aug. 17, at home surrounded by family and friends.
Born Oct. 5, 1962 in St. James, Mo., to Marian and Fredrick Peerenboom, she married Rick Barton on Dec. 10, 1994. They lived in Green Bay, later moved to River Falls and recently returned to Green Bay.
She enjoyed social media outlets, was an avid Packer fan, often on the couch on Sundays with family or at Lambeau Field watching the game, but mostly loved time with her family and grandchildren. She also liked sharing family photos and has inspired many with her positive attitude.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Rick; five children, Deanna (Kevin) Street of League City, Tx., Wesley (Brenda) Peerenboom of Marinette, Joni Rose of Arroyo Grande, Ca., Nick Barton of River Falls and Kharmilla Barton of Green Bay; six siblings, Robin Peerenboom of Escanaba, Mi., Fred Peerenboom of Wrightstown, Marcialee (Rodney) Maynard of Gladstone Mi., Mathew (Lynn) Peerenboom of Green Bay, Jeanine (Christian) Imes of Candler, N.C. and Corey Peerenboom of Beecher; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marian Cook on April 14th, 2014.
Family received friends at Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Green Bay on Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Simply Cremation of Green Bay assisted the family with arrangements.
