THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Robert A. Klimek
Robert A. Klimek, aka "UGLY" Bob, 72, of Oconto, passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2017 with family by his side.
Born June 30, 1945 in Green Bay, to the late Arthur and Crystal (Casperson) Klimek, he cherished time with his son, grandchildren and friends.
He enjoyed NASCAR, the Packers, riding his Norton and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, fishing, and going on his boat. Well known, he was loved by all who came into his life. He told you the truth, whether good or bad, was stubborn, and bull-headed up to the very end. The doctors gave him less than a week to live and he proved them wrong by lasting almost seven weeks, refusing to go down without a fight. He will be remembered as a good friend and best father and grandfather.
He is survived by a son, Bobby "BJ" Klimek (Amanda), Oconto; his girlfriend, Margaret Osmon; a sister, Janice DeVillers, Green Bay; two brothers, Richard (Pam) Klimek, Appleton and Ronald (Judy) Klimek, Florida; an uncle, David; an aunt, Pat; three grandchildren and longtime friends, Wolfie and Schnooky Shavlik.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home in Oconto on Saturday, Sept. 2 from 1 p.m. until time of the Memorial Services at 4 p.m., with Deacon Walter Kaszynski officiating. A memorial fund is being established.
