Suzanne Steffeck, 93, of Spruce, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 at home while being cared for by her son, Victor.
Born Sept. 26, 1923 at Kelly Lake, to James and Sarah (Piper) Pecard, she married Victor Steffeck on Sept. 28, 1946 and lived in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada until returning to Spruce to farm.
She cooked for many years at the Round Roof and Holiday Inn on Kelly Lake and also for Gillett School District.
She is survived by five children and their spouses, Richard (Margaret) Steffeck, Pat (Gene) Sager, Joan (Marc) Denis, Victor Steffeck Jr. and Robert (Selina) Steffeck; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Including her parents and her husband, Victor, she was preceded in death by three sons, James, Thomas and infant son, John; a daughter, Cherie and siblings, Emory Pecard, James "Bud" Pecard, Howard Pecard, Don Pecard, Roger Pecard, Ginger Cowan and Grace Hansen.
Friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, 438 West Main Street, Lena on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 9:30 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Deacon Walt Kaszynski will officiate followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery in Spruce.
