David F. Maccaux, 75, of Oconto, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Appleton.
Born Dec. 17, 1941 in Green Bay, to the late Frank and Evelyn (Pagel) Maccaux, he married Tina Bellow on Sept. 28, 1963 and she preceded him in death on Oct. 25, 2015. He served in the United States Army and National Guard and worked at Cruisers Yachts in engineering and Procter and Gamble with his son, where he was missed when he retired. He also worked other jobs.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, reading and gardening, was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stiles and was Scout Master for Oconto Troop 1084 for many years.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Charles) DesJarlais, Appleton; a son, Christopher (Shellie) Maccaux, Green Bay; a brother, Leon (Linda) Maccaux, Green Bay; three grandchildren and many in-laws; cousins; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Gabby and Charlie DesJarlais.
The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stiles on Friday, Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. until time of a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Rev. Bob Karuhn officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery with Military Rites by all Oconto military service groups. Gallagher Funeral Home of Oconto is assisting the family with arrangements.
