Gary F. Naze, 82, of Marinette, formerly of Green Bay, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette.
Born June 24, 1935 in Green Bay, to the late George and Sarah (Bourain) Naze, he graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1953 and then served in the United States Air Force as an Instructor of Mechanics and Flight. On Jan. 4, 1958, he married Judith Gittens and they lived in Green Bay. He worked in the HVAC industry in Green Bay and Marinette and after 35 years, retired from Paper Converting Machine Company.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, especially for ducks with his lab, Tar, studying history of the World Wars and other topics and trips to Wisconsin and Upper Michigan casinos. He loved woodworking and built the cabinets for their retirement home on the Peshtigo River. He will be remembered for his strong Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; three children, Debbie (Gary) Nadolny, Peggy Stinehart and Michael Naze; a sister, Joanne (Mike) Zalec; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Melissa) Carviou; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Ebben; a son-in-law, Everett Stinehart and a step-granddaughter, Alison Frank.
Visitation will be held at St. Willebrord Church, 209 S. Adams Street, Green Bay on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Newcomer Cremations Funeral and Receptions of Green Bay is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
