David J. Borman
David James Borman, 76, of De Pere, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017.
Born April 20, 1941 in Green Bay, to the late Howard and Beatrice (DeRuyter) Borman, he married Mary Kittell on Dec. 19, 1997. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved time with his grandchildren riding four wheelers, playing catch and riding in Papa's new Corvette. He enjoyed his relationship with his mother-in-law, Ida, whom he frequently teased.
He retired from Nicolet Paper Company and enjoyed their home outside Marinette for 14 years. Recently they liked driving their new Corvette and participated in activities with Corvettes of the Bay.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two children, Todd (Karen) Borman, Eden Prairie, Mn. and Krystel Kittell (fiancé, Nicholas "Nick" McCabe); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Linda (DeGroot) Borman, DePere and Betty and Dave Byrnes, Green Bay; a niece, Jennifer and Nicholas "Nick" Potts and their children, Ledgeview; and many other nieces and nephews.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Burda and Ida Thyes; a brother, Robert "Bob" Borman; three brothers-in-law, Leroy Thyes, Bert Thyes and Rick Thyes and nieces, Barbara (Borman) Kiley and Michelle "Mike" (Borman) Lingl.
Family and friends called at Ryan Funeral Home in De Pere on Friday, Nov. 3 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation continued at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
