Thomas H. Bergstrom, 74, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born April 23, 1943 in Menominee, to the late Harold and Irene (Hendricksen) Bergstrom, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1962 and worked at Kargard Industries for a short time. He then served in the United States Navy where he met his wife, the former Diane Hayes and they were married Dec. 30, 1967 in Portland, Me.
He attended NWTC where he earned a Journeyman electrician license and later a Master electrician license. He owned and operated Bergstrom Electric Company from 1979 until retiring in 2007.
He enjoyed golfing, cards, the outdoors, going to his cabin, hunting, fishing and traveling, but mostly time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Diane of Menominee; two sons, Eric (Nicole) Bergstrom of Menominee and Mark (Jessica) Bergstrom of Green Bay; two grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry (Barb) Bergstrom and Doug (Pat), both of Menominee and Steven of Marinette; many nieces; nephew; cousins and many relatives in Maine.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Kell Funeral Home in Menominee on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 from 10 a.m. until time of Military Rites at noon, followed by a Memorial Service. Rev. Doug Schoen will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
