John J. Perket
John Jerome Perket, 91, of Marinette, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018.
Born Feb. 16, 1926 in Spaulding, Mi, to Edna (Lindberg) and Arthur Perket, he graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1944. He served in the United States Navy in the Pacific during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946.
He eloped and married his high school sweetheart, Elinor A. Locke, on Aug. 16, 1947 in Stephenson, Mi. and they recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. He worked at Ansul for 45 years as an Operations Supervisor in many departments and retired in 1992.
He is survived by four sons, Cary (Nadwa) of LaJolla, Ca., Jon (Gena DeGayner) of Marinette, Richard (Robin) of Maplewood, Mn. and Michael (Tricia) of Eden Prairie, Mn.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elinor; a brother, Arthur Perket (Junior) of Peshtigo; a sister, Jeanette Fraser of Green Bay and a daughter, Sharrie Perket of Marinette.
A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1501 Thomas St., Marinette on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette assisted the family with arrangements. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
