Samantha K. Koesling
Samantha K. Koesling, 53, of Marinette, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018 at home with her husband at her side.
Born Dec. 16, 1964 in El Paso, Tx., to Karl and Kay Mistlebauer, she graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1983 and married James M. Koesling on Sept. 5, 1987 at their home in Wallace, Mi.
She cherished life, had a selfless spirit and was an inspiration to family, friends and caregivers in her illness and all her life. She enjoyed working in her gardens, adored her children, treasured her grandson and loved helping those with special needs.
She is survived by her husband, Jim of Marinette; a daughter, Holly Anderson of Green Bay; a son, Alex Koesling of Green Bay; a grandson; her mother, Kay Mistlebauer of Ithaca, N.Y.; two brothers, Carl Mistlebauer of Bowling Green, Ky. and Jason (Ali) Mistlebauer of Chandler, Az.; two sisters, Holly Mistlebauer of Ithaca, N.Y. and Julianna (Daniel) Truesdale of Lansing, N.Y. and her mother-in-law, Betty Koesling of Menominee, Mi.
She was preceded in death by her father, Karl Mistlebauer, and father-in-law, Loren Koesling.
A Visitation Celebration of her Life/Spirit will be held at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 7 p.m., with Pastor Andrew Williams officiating. Donations can be made to the Organization for Autism Research in her name.
