Peshtigo City Council To Meet February 6
Peshtigo City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6.
Parks and Recreation Director David Zahn is expected to report on a presentation he and Marinette County Water Resource Specialist Chuck Druckrey made in Madison on Tuesday, Jan. 30 to the Wisconsin Coastal Management Council on behalf of the city's request for a grant to help fund construction of the fish viewing platform they hope to build over the Peshtigo River on the old Badger Paper Mills crossing below the dam.
Reports are expected on suggestions from the Streets and Drainage Committee to improve safety for children being dropped off at the elementary school, including stricter enforcement of parking and drop off prohibitions on the east side of Emery Ave., discussion on some needed changes to other ordinances that govern parking in the school zone, and a report on minor changes to reservation rules for Badger Park facilities.
