Jon R. Delany, 44, of Ashwaubenon, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018.
Born Feb. 11, 1974 in Green Bay, to Charles and Jeanette (Paulson) Delany, he graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 1992 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from UW-Green Bay in 1998. He also earned a Master's Degree in conducting from Sam Houston State University.
His first teaching job was at Marinette Middle School and then taught at Freedom High School in 2000 until his passing. He also directed the pep band at UWGB for 12 years.
He married Christy Fehrenbach in 1998 and they had two daughters, Amelia and Gabriella. He always did things with his daughters and they went everywhere together.
He enjoyed training and competing in triathlons and time with his dogs, but mostly spent much of his time composing, performing and enjoying music.
He is survived by his wife, Christy; two daughters, Amelia and Gabriella; his parents, Charles and Jeanette; a brother, Steven Delany (Paul Seymour); a sister-in-law, Tamara Delany; a brother-in-law, Jamie (Michelle) Fehrenbach; five nieces and nephews, Michael and McKenna Delany, Jacob and Derek Fehrenbach and Christopher Delany; in-laws, Karen and Ron Fehrenbach and many aunts; uncles; cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Delany.
A Memorial Service was held at St. John Lutheran Church, 2700 Babcock Rd., Green Bay on Saturday, Feb. 17 from 5 p.m. until time of a Celebration of Life from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Blaney Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
