Brian A. Janquart, 66, of Marinette, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018.
Born to Joseph and Camille "Connie" Janquart in Menominee, Mi., he attended St. Ann's School and graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School in 1969. He retired in May 2013 from Ansul/Tyco Corporation after 39 years.
He served in the United States Army as a Specialist 5, then was in Vietnam from 1970 " 1971 and Savannah, Ga. from 1971-1972.
The family returned to Marinette where he resided for over 46 years. He found a sense of community and excitement in sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed golfing with family and friends.
A passion for food, he loved barbecuing and also gardening. He shared jokes starting with a long or short story and loved his furry friends, especially his cat he had for 20 years.
He was most comfortable spending time at home, enjoying a good show, especially The Price is Right. He enjoyed cooking and listening to music, with favorites of Hey Jude from the Beatles and What a Wonderful World from Louis Armstrong.
He is survived by three children, Michelle (Chad) Lindstrom, Brian (Mandi) Janquart and Joseph (Laura) Janquart; eight grandchildren; three siblings, Roger (Jeanie) Janquart, Judith Janquart and Gina (Ed) Buda; his ex-wife, Mary (Hannot) Janquart and a special friend, Evelyn Gilgenbach.
His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Thursday, March 1 from 10 a.m. until time of a Prayer Service at 12:30 p.m., led by Deacon Jerome Thetreau. A processional will follow to Riverside Cemetery in Menominee for Committal Prayers and Military Honors. In his honor and celebration of his life, feel free to wear your favorite Green Bay Packer attire.
