Lillian Mae (Eastland) Lindstrom, 83, of Carney, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018.
Born May 16, 1934 in Wallace, Mi., to the late Arthur and Theodora (Wallenslager) Eastland, she graduated from Stephenson High School in 1952 and attended Nursing School at Northern Michigan University, becoming an LPN in 1956.
She married Earl Lindstrom in 1957 in Menominee, Mi. and they shared 60 years together. She worked at the Menominee Hospital as an LPN for two years and later at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility for 20 years in intervals, leaving at times to be a full-time mother. She also held office positions in the Carney Free Church.
A caring, loving person, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading her bible, going to church, being involved with the women's group and Awana group and taking care of her plants.
She is survived by her husband, Earl; five children, Jerry Lindstrom, Tony (Arlette) Lindstrom, Patti (Roger) Hull, Scott (Connie) Lindstrom and Mark (Jennifer) Lindstrom and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin and Ralph Eastland and a sister, Pauline Robinson.
Visitation was held at Carney Free Church in Carney on Tuesday, March 6 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m., with Pastor Kit Bogan officiating. Burial will be in the Spring at Carney Free Church Cemetery.
Anderson Diehm Funeral Home of Stephenson assisted the family with arrangements.
