Frances M. Hansen, 89, of Peshtigo, passed away March 18, 2018 at Rennes Health Center East.
Born November 13, 1928, daughter of the late Theodore and MaryAnn (O'Connor) Youngerman, she graduated in 1946 from Our Lady of Lourdes in Marinette. On August 26, 1950 she married Merlyn J. Hansen at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Marinette. He preceded her in death March 27, 1989.
Frances was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Mary's Women of Faith. She enjoyed her casino bus trips, attending her grandchildren's events, being a Red Hatter, was a Packer fan, and always embraced her Irish Heritage.
Frances is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (John) Willmann; 2 sons, Steven (Susan) Hansen & Paul Hansen; Her grandchildren, Joshua (Amber) Willmann, Molly Willmann, Amy (Chris) Tift, Lisa (Jenny) Cooper and Matthew Hansen; Great-grandchildren, Noah Willmann, Charlie, Oliver and William Cooper and a sister, Johanna Youngerman.
Along with her parents and husband, Merlyn, Frances was preceded in death by her infant son, James Gerard; 2 sisters, Cecelia (Linwood) Harding and Margaret (Edward) Neveln and many lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 22, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo from 3:00 pm until time of Funeral Mass at 5:00 pm with Father Jess Berdol and Father Paul Radteski concelebrating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Frances memory.
The family would like to thank the Drs. and staff at Bay Area Medical Center Emergency Room, Aurora BayCare in Green Bay Dr.'s and staff,
Unity Hospice and especially the staff in Unit 100 at Rennes East, who made Frances feel like she was part of their family. Your kindness extended to our family will always be remembered.
