Marlene (Swaningson) Soderberg, 82, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Friday, March 16, 2018.
Born Nov. 18, 1935 in Menominee, to the late Arnold and Olga (Bergstrom) Swaningson, on March 30, 1957, she married James Soderberg in Menominee.
They lived in Fox Point and Sheboygan, before returning to Menominee upon retirement. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Menominee.
She is survived by a special nephew and niece, Forrest "Pudg" and Kym Soderberg of Marinette; two great-nieces, Hope Soderberg and Heather (Ken) Diamond; a special great-great-niece, Isabella Soderberg; two special great-great-nephews, Brandon and Hunter Soderberg; other family members; special friends, Mary Lou Gustafson, Mary Ellen Olson, Cindy Emmes, Lois DuChateau, Dolores Boucher, Georgia Mae Benoit and other friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James on Oct. 17, 2016 and a special friend, Donna Lehman.
Per her request, she will be cremated and private services will be held at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette. She will be buried in the family plot at Riverside Cemetery in Menominee at a later date.
