Marjorie Mae Duquaine Montie, 91, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, March 12, 2018.
Born April 27, 1926 in Marinette, to Victoria and William Duquaine, she graduated from Lourdes High School in 1943 and attended Mount Mary College in Milwaukee.
In February of 1945, she went to Washington, D.C. to work for the United States Coast Guard and returned home in November of 1951 to be closer to her parents. In January of 1952 she relocated to Milwaukee, where she was employed by the United States Air Force Recruiting Station.
She married Leslie L. Montie in September of 1952 and in March of 1954, their daughter Victoria arrived, followed by their son, Michael on October 24, 1956.
She enjoyed the outdoors, boating and staying at their cabin on Lake Superior, but mostly cherished time with family and friends. She was a good cook and shared many recipes.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie; a son, Michael; a daughter, Victoria (Jeff) Wilson and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Frances and a sister, Pearl (Louis Diebels).
Friends may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home on Saturday, March 17 from 2 p.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 5 p.m.
