Scott C. Pettey, 62, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018.
Born in Menominee, he lived there most of his life.
He was a master of many trades, loved building and driving fast cars and boats, enjoyed discussing alternative perspectives on local and world topics, was an avid musician, electronics repair wizard and sound man for many area bands and venues. He had a unique group of friends for each of his passions. He always lent a hand or shared a tool and his motto was "Make it bigger, better and more powerful".
He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Pettey of Marinette; a daughter, Tiffany and her mother, Kyle, both of Las Vegas; a granddaughter; an aunt, Verda Shatusky; cousins, Donna L. Shatusky and Mary LaValley and a niece, Shawna Pettey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll "Bud" Pettey and a brother, Ross Pettey.
Per the families wishes, there will be cremation and no services. He will be laid to rest with his father in Birch Creek Cemetery. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
