Dolores M. (Kebschull) Pendl, 94, of Suring, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018.
Born April 15, 1923 at home, to the late August and Margaret (Collier) Kebschull, she attended and graduated from Suring Schools.
She worked in Chicago for many years where she met and married Charles Pendl in 1944. They moved to Suring in 1947 where they had an insurance agency and later Pendl Real Estate Co. until his death in 1989.
A confirmed member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, she belonged to the Women of the Church, served on the Church finance committee for a few years, was a charter member of the Suring Lioness Club, which sponsored many local events such as the Children's Easter Egg Hunt, the bloodmobile, and other events where help and money was needed.
She was a member of the Suring Historical Society, served on the Suring Election Board for many years, was a charter member of the Tuesday Morning Ladies Golf League and for many years belonged to the Wednesday Mulligan League.
She enjoyed going to fitness classes twice a week, golfing into her 90's, playing cards and having lunch with her friends of many years. She loved sports of all kinds, including her favorites of the Packers, Badgers and Brewers and also the Suring Sports Teams. Her three sons were active in all sports during their school years.
An avid reader, she always had books by her side, but most important was time with her family, especially during holidays and summer time gatherings at the cottage at Kelly Lake where all the family came together to spend time together.
She is survived by three sons and daughter-in-laws, Richard (Jeanne) of Holmen, Gary (Kasey) of Menomonee Falls and Randy (Kay) of Rost Lake (Coleman); eight grandchildren; the girls' mother, Bonnie Pendl; five step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a niece, Kris (Dr. Eric) LaRue of Winter Haven, Fla. and many friends and other relatives.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1989; a daughter-in-law, Alice in 1998; a sister-in-law, Patricia in 2006; a brother, LeRoy in 2014 and a niece, Karole Dickman in 2018.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Michael Paholke officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olive Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the Suring Area Public Library. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
