Daniel J. Barker, 70, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Rennes Health Care Center-East.
Born Feb. 3, 1948, to the late Howard and Edna (Knoll) Barker in Menominee, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1966 and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On Oct. 10, 1970, he married Barbara Grenier at St. Ann's Church in Menominee and worked in maintenance for Menominee Public Schools for 39 years, retiring in 2010.
He enjoyed duck hunting, camp, ATVing and his dogs, but mostly loved time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara; two sons, Jeremiah (Tonya) Barker and Joshua (Ryan) Barker, both of Menominee; a sister, Arabelle (Alex Jr.) Bernaden of New Berlin and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward.
Private services will be held with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
