Floyd F. "Eddie" Fisher, passed away Tuesday morning, May 1, 2018 at the Minneapolis VA on T from stroke complications.
Born in Hinsdale, Ill., he was raised in Marinette and graduated from Marinette High School in 1960. He served in the United States Air Force and worked at Scott Paper Company for many years as a fire safety engineer. He married Betty Remane in 1963 and she preceded him in death in 2010. He then married Janice Mills in April 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Mills Fisher and her children, Craig Wiggert (Diane), Lori Wiggert Rau and Tammi Mills; his daughter, VickieMarie Cloutier, MD (Jerry) of Marinette and his son, Jack; her four grandchildren; his three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy (Michael) Bock of Missouri and Debbie Fisher-Dobbin (David) of Australia along with many nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd S. and Ruth Fisher; his first wife, Betty; a son, Micheal SJ Fisher in 2007 and a younger sister, Junith "Tidy" Davis in September 2017.
A Memorial Service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Pierce Avenue in Marinette on Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donations are appreciated to the VA Hospital in Minneapolis to help care for other veterans as they cared for him.
