Tadeusz "Tad" Kielbicki, 91, formerly of Menominee, Mi., passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Thedacare Medical Center in Shawano.
Born Nov. 3, 1926, in Poland, he married Martha Strigun in Chicago, Ill. on Oct. 6, 1956, He worked at Marinette Marine for 18 years, retiring in 1989 and was a member of Resurrection Parish.
They moved to Shawano in 1990, where he enjoyed socializing, joking around, making people smile, time with family, taking walks, dancing, listening to polka music, trips to Poland, his Polish heritage and eating traditional foods, especially ones cooked by his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Kielbicki of Shawano; a daughter, Adela Kielbicki of Menominee; two sons, Stephan (Debbie) Kielbicki of Gresham and Florian (Kim) Kielbicki of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Danuta.
Visitation will take place at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home in Menominee on Thursday, May 3 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a Vigil Prayer Service at 5:30 p.m., with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Resurrection Parish on Friday, May 4 at 10 a.m. Fr. McQuesten will preside with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
