Lynore M. (Freeman) Waldron, 92, of Marinette, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018, at Rennes Health Care Center-East.
Born Dec. 26, 1925, to the late Earl and Bernadette (Hayes) Freeman in Duluth, Mn., she graduated from High School in Two Harbors, Mn. in 1944 and moved to Chicago to work at Michael Reese Hospital.
She received a certificate of training in the care of infants and children and worked several years in the premature infant nursery. On Dec. 27, 1952, she married John E. Waldron in Two Harbors and he preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1990.
After marriage, they moved to Marinette to be near her husband's family and she worked for 30 years at St. Joseph's Hospital in Menominee, retiring on June 1, 1988.
A member of Holy Family Parish, she was an honorary member of the Altar Society, former Hospital Auxiliary, Marinette Am Vets Auxiliary, and M&M Cycle Club. She enjoyed sewing, riding her bike, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by three sons, Edward "Bud" Waldron of Denmark, William Waldron of Marinette and John Waldron of San Antonio, Tx.; two daughters, Ann Waldron, Reno, Nv. and Mary Lindquist of Menominee; a sister, Gertrude Freeman; a sister-in-law, Nina Williams; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, John she was preceded in death by a brother, Francis.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Friday, May 11 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m. Deacon Jerome Thetreau will officiate with burial in Forest Home Cemetery on Saturday, May 12.
