Richard K. Smith, 76, of Wausaukee, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at home with family by his side.
Born Sept. 2, 1941 in Tomah, to the late Jeanette (Skenandore) and Ervin Doxtater, he attended school in the Appleton area. On Sept. 30, 1961, he married Gloria in Chicago, Ill. and worked as an OTR truck driver for 30 years.
He enjoyed country music, hunting, and fishing. A hard worker, he always had a smile on his face and was a true family man that enjoyed his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Smith; three children, Richard (Chris) Smith, David Smith and Rhonda Smith; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a Godchild, Richard Jorgenson and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Doxtater; step-father, Ervin Doxtater and siblings, Virgil Doxtater, Marian Gonzales and Arnold Doxtater.
Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory, 305 N. Tenth St., De Pere on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the Oneida Hymn Singers at 1:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m.
