Cecelia Mae (Oshefsky) Chlopek, 90, formerly of Pulaski, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence, surrounded by family.
Born May 13, 1927 in Pound, to the late Fred and Martha (Gohr) Oshefsky, she married Charles Chlopek Sr. on Sept. 22, 1945 in Oconto and he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2013. They were married for 67 years and had six children.
She was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for many years, was a good cook, enjoyed sharing her talents with family and friends and was known for her fish fries.
She took pride in her appearance right down to her accessories and perfume. She also enjoyed gardening and canning the fruits of her labor and loved nature, especially flowers and birds. She was a huge Danny O'Donnell fan, attended his concert and received an autograph and an Irish kiss from him. Her greatest joy was her family, especially the little ones.
She is survived by four children, David (Jeany) Chlopek, Bev (Terry Sr.) Konitzer, Charles "Chuckie" (Bonnie) Chlopek Jr. and Bonnie (Jeff) Domke; a son-in-law, Dale Kanzenbach; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Roy Oshefsky; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Janet (Dan) VerKuilen and Barb Kanzenbach; three sisters and six brothers.
Visitation was held at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Green Bay on Thursday, May 3 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Oconto Falls.
