Carol L. (Smith) Klein, 70, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones.
Born Dec. 9, 1947 in Marinette, to the late Archie and Jean (LaSage) Smith, she graduated from Menominee High School and then married Marv Klein on Aug. 12, 1967 in Menominee.
She worked at Emerson, MJR and retired from KSU after 17 years.
She enjoyed golfing, camping, collecting Elvis memorabilia and planting flowers, but mostly loved raising her family and having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren near her.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; a son, Kevin Klein and a daughter, Melissa Martin, all of Menominee. five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Sherry Wozniak; two brothers, Edward Smith and Kenneth Smith and many nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Pete Klein and a brother, Arthur "Snooky" Smith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Menominee from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m., with Pastor Scott Ehle officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family with arrangements.
