Eunice R. Borst, 92, of Marinette passed away Sunday June 17, 2018 at home.
Born March 2, 1926 in Marinette, to the late Nicholas and Rosanna (Gervais) Bernardy, she graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1943 and then moved to Washington and worked for the FBI. She then worked at the Pentagon during World War II.
After the war, she returned to Marinette and married Robert Borst at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Walsh on Feb. 15, 1947. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lourdes/Holy Family Parish.
She loved traveling and visited 57 countries and every state in the United States. An avid reader, she also enjoyed bridge, counted cross stitch and was a Packer and Brewer fan.
She is survived by a daughter, Ruth (Dan) Wesoloski of Menominee; two sons, James of Ishpeming and Randy (Karen) Green Bay; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Bev) Bernardy of El Macero, Ca.; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Vande Hei of DePere; and neighbors, Tom and Phyllis Harbick.
In addition to her husband Robert, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary; a sister, Kathryn Tippett and a brother, Warren Bernardy.
Visitation was held at Thielen Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at Holy Family Parish Our Lady of Lourdes Taylor St. at 11 a.m., with burial in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette.
