Lurleen M. (Miron) Roberts, 81, of Long Lake, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at Nu-Rock Community Healthcare in Laona.
Born June 30, 1936 in Rhinelander, to the late Bernard and Goldie (Chaney) Miron, she attended Laona Schools and married James Roberts on May 22, 1955 in Crandon. The couple made their home in Long Lake and celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in 1998, before he passed away on Feb. 8, 1999.
A member of St. Norbert Catholic Church Parish of Long Lake, she was known for her cooking skills and enjoyed gardening and her cats.
She is survived by a son, James (Marsha) Roberts of Iron River, Mi.; a daughter, Debra (Don) Schauer of Pembine; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, James, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Werth.
Visitation was held at St. Norbert Catholic Church of Long Lake on Tuesday, June 26 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. Fr. Felix Penetante offered the Mass of Christian Burial with interment in Long Lake Cemetery.
