Peshtigo School Board To Meet Wednesday, July 11

Peshtigo School District is in a period of transition. At its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 the school board will have presentations and/or discussion on the transition plan for the new district administrator and the process of hiring a Director of Special Education. Then, at the end of the meeting they will again go into closed session to consider candidates for the Assistant Elementary Principal position. They will return to open session before adjourning, and may or may not select a new assistant elementary principal at that time.
The evening begins with a 5:30 p.m. Finance committee meeting to review vouchers for payment approval at the 6 p.m. board meeting.
Other business of the meeting includes possible action on any resignations, retirements or hirings; consideration of accepting gifts, grants or bequests with a value of $250 or more; consideration of adopting a Pupil Activity account for baseball; adjustments to the 2017-2018 budget; approval of the 2018-2019 Elementary Handbook, and the required resolution to adopt Academic Standards.
Reports are expected from the Buildings and Grounds; Finance, Personnel and Negotiations and Policies committees, as well as from the administrator and board president.
