Coleman Fire Department Lists Raffle WinnersIssue Date: July 26, 2018
The Coleman Area Fire Department held their annual picnic the weekend of Friday and Saturday, July 20-21 at the Coleman Ball Park. On Friday there was Little League baseball at 6 p.m., Music Match 54 at 6 p.m., and Movie in the Park at 9 p.m.
Saturday started with a parade at 10:30 a.m., live music by Musical Brass from 1 to 5 p.m. and Out a Time from 7 to 11 p.m. The day ended with fireworks at dusk.
The weekend also included softball tournament, volleyball tournament, bean bag tournament, kids entertainment, bike rodeo and raffles.
Parade winners were 1st place Business to Dan Risner & Son Excavating, 2nd place Business to Kust Sand & Gravel/Take a Peek/Coleman Band, 3rd place Business to Grandma Birdies Day Care Center, organization/club went to Coleman Area Library, Church to Trinity Lutheran Church, Humor was Cheers Too, Agriculture went to Patz Corporation/Riesterer & Schnell Inc., and Semi to TJB Trucking.
Lawnmower winner was Tate Kleiman from Luxemberg; softball tournament 1st place went to Horny Buck Seed, 2nd to Guadalupe Roasting Company, and 3rd to Papa Bears. Volleyball tournament winners were 1st-Toronto 2017, 2nd to De Goats, and 3rd was Fast Makes Fame.
Raffle winners were 1st place to Cheers Too Dennis and Shanon $1000; 2nd-Wayne Bader $800; 3rd-Pat Schneider $500; 4th-Mike Carncross $450; 5th-Jim Koronkiewicz $350; 6th-Matt Bickel $250. Also 7th through11th places-$150 each to Jordan Gondeck, Toby Karban, Bill Klussendorf, Marilyn Steier, Jerry Champagne; $100 each for 12th to 20th places to Bob Schwedler, Tom Behnke, Jolene Podlasek, Max Pellman, Reid Kust, Max Pellman, Lori Champagne, Linda Pellman and Jeff Bickel.
Area business also donated prizes. Named are the business and winner.
