Gene W. Staffeldt, 65, of Willowbrook, Illinois and Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away in his sleep on February 21, 2018.
Born in Menominee, Michigan to Earl and Dorothy Staffeldt, he graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1971 and then served in the United States Army until 1973. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1977 and began his career in the insurance industry, retiring on January 2, 2018.
Gene is survived by his brother, Mike (Laurie) Staffeldt, his sister, Lee (Bruce) Bowles; four nieces and nephews, Ryan (Kim) Staffeldt, Rachel (John) McCartin, Shauni (Seth) Carmitchel, Catlyn Bowles and six great-nieces and great-nephews.
His partner, Carol Proctor, is thankful for the 20 wonderful years they had together.
Gene was a loving brother and Uncle. A lifelong Packer fan, he had a love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He will be remembered for his good nature and easygoing personality.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, August 7, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo from 10:00 am until time of Memorial services at 11:00 am with Father John Harper officiating. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo is assisting the family with arrangements.
