Martin "Marty" Colburn, 71, Crivitz, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 at his home with his family by his side following complications of C.O.P.D.
He was born Nov. 25, 1946 in Green Bay to Heath "Bud" and Evelyn P. (Stoa) Colburn. Marty served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. On Aug. 16, 1969, Marty was united in marriage to Linda Piontek in Green Bay. He was employed for more than 20 years as a bus driver for Green Bay Transit until retiring in 1995. Marty was a 15 year member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church as well as a longtime member of Disabled American Veterans. He Loved living in the north woods, his dogs, and visits with his kids and grandkids.
Marty is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda; two children, Tracy (Tom Jr.) Hendra, De Pere, Chad (Laura Cisar) Colburn, Crivitz; three grandchildren, Matty (Nathan) Grubbs, Abby Hendra, Grace Hendra; a brother, Michael (Diane) Colburn, Vista, CA; four nieces, Beth, Kelli, Missi, and Sarah and many other relatives and friends.
Marty was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, corner of County Roads A and C, Athelstane, WI on Saturday Sept 15, 2018 from 9:30 until 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Sat Sept 15, 2018 at the church with the Rev Dennis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Athelstane.
Marty's family wishes to thank all of the nurses and staff at Unity Hospice, especially Kasey, for all of their care and support, and to his church family for all their help through the years.
