Wayne Richards, 75, of Fence, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 in Green Bay.
Born June 28, 1943 in Joliet, Ill., to the late Roy and Marion (Fox) Richards, he graduated from Minooka High School and married Thanna on July 2, 1977 at United Methodist Church in Minooka. He worked at Caterpillar in Joliet, Ill. for 35 years and served as a Union Steward.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bass tournaments and duck hunting and was a member of the Elks and Lions Clubs. He had a good attitude, was fun loving and honest, but most importantly, cherished time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Thanna; six children, Delmer (Nicole) Miller, Jerry (Deborah) Miller, Jim (Debbie) Miller, Sandra (Gregory) Joiner, Sherry (Donald) Kinzler and Robert (Kimberly) Miller; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, with two on the way; three siblings, Ronald (Kathleen) Richards, JoAnn (Barry) Hester and Janice (Thomas) Tyma and many friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Alan Richards.
Family and friends may call at Union Protestant Church in Goodman on Monday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. until time of a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m., with Pastor Henry Yoap and Pastor Timothy Smith officiating. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
