Marie G. (Sack) Reichwald, 91, of Dousman, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018.
Born Aug. 16, 1927, to the late Arthur and Flora (Ranslam) Sack in Gillett, she graduated from Gillett High School before settling in Milwaukee. She married Herbert Reichwald on July 26, 1947 in Milwaukee and was a homemaker, but also worked as a bookkeeper and accountant at various firms.
They then lived in the Shawano and Cecil areas for 14 years where they were longtime members of St. John Lutheran Church in Gillett. She loved to travel and was licensed as a private pilot, but mostly enjoyed time with family, especially celebrating special events.
She acted as the family record keeper, keeping track of important milestones and had a great sense of humor that was enjoyed by all around her.
An active volunteer at various churches and local charities, she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed cheering for the Packers.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Herbert; a son, William (Joan) Reichwald; a daughter, Linda (Craig) DeClark; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James and six brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Gillett on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Kent Wallace officiating. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
